Agnes Scott College - Alumnae Weekend

Class of 1957

Dear Class of ’57,

It is hard to believe that 60 years ago we graduated from Agnes Scott. Our  60th reunion will be held April 21–22, 2017. Take time now to check your calendar and mark the dates. It is always fun to get together with “old” friends and remember the events and activities of 60 years ago.

The college would love for us to make a special gift in honor of Agnes Scott. I hope we can all find a little extra to give to our alma mater. It is not the amount you give but the percentage of givers that is most important—especially to the college’s ranking. Elizabeth Ansley Allan and her committee will continue to keep you informed about giving and I hope you will join me in donating to ASC.

Now to the important reunion information … our schedule of events for Alumnae Weekend.

  • Members of the Tower Circle will provide a jump start to the weekend with their dinner on Thursday evening, April 20.
  • Additional activities throughout the day on Friday, April 21, will lead to the Anna Young Club Dinner on Friday evening. As seasoned members of the 50-years-or-more club, we will have the opportunity to welcome the class of 1967 to our status.
  • Saturday, April 22, will be a full day, beginning with our class meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the Alston Campus Center, Amelia Davis Luchsinger Lounge. We will hear from Agnes Scott’s wonderful President Kiss at the Alumnae Convocation and parade through the campus to the dining hall for the Alumnae Luncheon. Open House activities will be available in the afternoon, so we can catch up on some of the marvelous additions and changes that have been made since 1957.
  • Our 60th Reunion Dinner will be held in the same place as our class meeting, in the Alston Campus Center, Amelia Davis Luchsinger Lounge, at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, and our class picture will be taken at that time.

Please mark your calendar now so you do not miss any of these fun events. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had a large turnout from our class for this momentous occasion?!

I look forward to seeing all of you in April!
