Agnes Scott College - Alumnae Weekend

Class of 1962

Dear Agnes Scott Class of 1962 (the best class ever),

Greetings from your Reunion Committee!

Remember all those grey-haired women who invaded campus every April? Well, we are them.

If you came to our 50th reunion, you know we had a marvelous time. We had record-high attendance for a 50th reunion at Agnes Scott College, and we had the highest participation in giving as well as the largest gift from a reunion class. To make a gift to the college for this reunion, you can go to

Let’s do it again for our 55th! We hope everyone who came last time will return, and we really want to see those of you who couldn’t make that one.

Everything will be on campus once again. Registration starts at 10 a.m. on Friday. You may choose to attend the Outstanding Alumnae Award Luncheon, and in the afternoon, “Back to Class” and various departmental receptions. On Friday night, we will be treated to the Anna Young Club Dinner in Evans with the classes of ’47, ’52,’57 and ’67 (we are no longer the newbies).

On Saturday, there will be an early worship service in the Julia Thompson Smith Chapel and then we will have our class meeting, followed by the Alumnae Convocation and Alumnae Luncheon. Your choice of interesting activities (such as touring “residence halls”—aka “dormitories”—to see how students live now) will fill the afternoon, and we will have our 55th reunion party on the Reading Terrace of the McCain Library at 6:30 p.m. This is also where we will have our class photo taken.

Please—y’all come! All the information you need to register for the activities is included in the brochure sent along with this letter. To register online, go to
