Dear Scottie Friends,
Yes, it has been more than 50 years since we came to Agnes Scott to learn, play and form friendships that would last a lifetime. Whether Agnes Scott Alumnae Weekend is a regular part of your five-year plan or our 50th reunion on April 20 and 21, 2018, will be your first, what better time to celebrate the women we have become and the college that launched us on our journeys?
Marilyn Johnson Hammond is chairing the Reunion Committee, assisted by a smart and fun-loving team of volunteers. Katherine Mitchell and Ann Glendinning are working to make sure that we match our enthusiasm and love for Agnes Scott with gifts to the college.
The weekend includes an invitation to dinner on Friday night as guests of the Anna Young Club, which is composed of women in classes who graduated before us. Hats and gloves are not required.
In addition to the college-sponsored activities, we will gather on Saturday afternoon in the Gué Pardue Hudson Center for Leadership and Service for a time to reminisce and share future plans with just us girls. Gué and her Spirit Committee are planning some surprises when we march into Buttrick as the honored class. On Saturday night, we will enjoy a cocktail buffet at the Capital City Club. And I am not revealing all the surprises the committee is planning!
Even if you cannot join the class in person, please reconnect virtually through our class website coming in September, www.asc68.com and through our Facebook page, Agnes Scott Class of 1968.
Please save the dates April 20 and 21, 2018, for what promises to be a weekend of fun and friendship.
With fond memories and affection,
Ann Teat Gallant ’68
