Agnes Scott College - Alumnae Weekend

Class of 1972

Dear Class of 1972,

Congratulations and kudos!!!

It is hard to believe it’s been 45 years since we began our post-Agnes Scott journey. In the space of more than four decades, cell phones now keep us connected to family and friends and the World Wide Web connects us to every part of the globe, making computers an indispensable part of our lives. Did you ever think that when we needed cash, we wouldn’t have to stand in line at our local bank but sprint to the nearest ATM, slide in a plastic card and see money appear from a tiny metal slot? Whoever could have imagined that our turntables, vinyl records and music cassette tapes would fade into oblivion, replaced by CDs, DVDs and music streaming through iPods, phones and computers? Could we have foreseen the disappearance of telephone books and the arrival of asking “Siri” where’s the best restaurant or nearest gas station?

We’ve seen and experienced a lot! Today’s world is very different from the world when we left Agnes Scott. And we have changed too. Please come and share our individual changes and marvel at how the campus and student life have also changed.

By now, you have heard about the fascinators you’ll don, the fun evening Rollin’ on the River planned for Friday night and Partying with Huck in the newly renovated Campbell Hall. Also, join us for our class meeting on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Bullock Science Center, Room 210E, and our class photograph at 1:45 p.m. And to make this weekend extra special, we could win and be recognized as the class with the highest number of members in attendance, the highest participation in giving or the highest amount given to the ASC Annual Fund. Other classes win at their 50th; let’s surprise everyone and win at our 45th!!!

We’re counting on you to come to our 45th reunion AND give to the Annual Fund! Give $45 if you’ve never given before, or an additional $45 if you have … and $5 to grow on! For all reunion information, including hotel information, go to To register, go to And to give, go to
