Agnes Scott College - Alumnae Weekend

Class of 2005

Queens,

Next year is our 15th-year reunion. Can you believe it’s almost been 15 years since we sat under that humongous tent on the Science Quad and walked across the stage to receive our degrees and start our lives? Lots of life has happened in the past 15 years: Some of us started businesses; some of us started careers as doctors, lawyers, teachers, professors, nurses and so many other professions; some of us married (surprise, I’m JBB now!); some of us gave birth; some of us have kept in touch over the years and have developed or maintained some beautiful friendships; some of us had to say goodbye to people we love; some of us have traveled or moved to various countries; and there’s so much more that contributes to living life that I don’t have the space to list here.

Throughout these 15 years, the one thing that has bound us is our collective experience of being Scotties and Queens of the Nile. Our reunion is a time for us to come together again, celebrate and renew those bonds.

I hope that you will take time to make plans to join us at our 15th year reunion, which will be April 1719, 2020. The Reunion Committee has been planning an exciting party and can’t wait to see you!

You will be getting more information from your Reunion Chairs, Fund Chairs, and the Alumnae Office moving forward, so make sure you’re checking your snail mail, email, and social media. Although we are no longer eligible for the Mollie Merrick Award due to changes in the eligibility criteria, I hope that you all (continue to) contribute to the college in honor of our 15th year. As Queens, we are paving the way for the next generation of Scotties, and our donations help make that possible.

Last thing: Don’t forget to continue to engage in the social and intellectual challenges of our times by working in the communities in which we work and live and beyond. Snap a picture and tell us your story by tagging ASC and using the hashtags #QueensEngage and #ASCQueens05.

See you in 2020!

All Hail,

Jennifer Bartell Boykin ’05
