I remember August 25, 2005, vividly. My bald father was running around wearing an embarrassing floppy hat with a chin toggle. I was crying in the corner because my paper said I was in Winship 212, but they meant Walters, so everything had to be moved—again. Then my dad started to talk to other dads and offer help because he brought a bag of tools. I couldn’t think of anything more embarrassing. I remember lining up to sign our beloved Honor Code. I’m pretty sure we sang “God of the Marching Centuries” and “Beer, Beer, Beer” for the first time that night. Then, suddenly, we were turning our rings over at graduation. As quickly as our four years went by, our time as alumnae has flown by just as fast.
I don’t know about you, but every now and then I get a little bit restless and I dream of something wild. The result? Our 10th Agnes Scott reunion! Please save the date and get ready to aimlessly twirl across the dance floor with the class of 2009!
April 26–27, 2019 (April 25 if you want to go to Hub Sing (and you do).)
Our 10th reunion is a wonderful opportunity to visit our beloved campus with the classmates who made our experience so amazing. It is particularly special as the college celebrates the inauguration of our ninth president, Leocadia “Lee” Zak.
I look forward to our weekend together. I hope to see you there!
